Mercy who is the 4th winner of BBNaija and the first female contestant ever to win the reality TV show said she is devastated

Nollywood actress and former Big Brother Naija season 4 housemate Mercy Eke has announced that she is bereaved.
The 28-year-old reality TV star shared the sad news of the demise of her father via her Instagram page on Friday, April 1, stating that he is devastated.
She wrote, “I’m so devastated at the demise of my daddy. God, I don’t want to believe this is happening to me right now. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔,”
The thespian participated in the Big Brother Naija season 4 ‘Pepper Dem’ edition alongside 25 other contestants in June 2019.

She emerged as the 4th winner of the show becoming the first and the only female contestant ever to win the reality TV show which began over a decade ago.
While on the show, she was romantically entangled with another housemate, Ike Onyeama, but she later revealed she was no longer in a relationship with the ex-housemate in 2020.
After her exploit on the show, Mercy Eke became an ambassador and influencer for various organizations and in 2020, she made her acting debut in the Nollywood movie ‘Fate of Alakada’.
Meanwhile, friends, colleagues, and fans of the reality TV star took to the comments section of her Instagram page to sympathise with her on the death of her father.
Nollywood colleague Osas Ighodaro said, “My darling I’m so very sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family. May he rest in peace. 🕊️🤍🙏🏽” actress Osas Ighodaro wrote.
BBNaija’s Nina wrote, “Omg 😳 , take heart, my love, plz stay strong 💔,”.
Another Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko also sent her a condolence message saying: “Awwwww my love 😢😢😢😢 so sorry 🙏🙏🙏 my deepest condolences 💐 GOD KNOWS THE BEST,”
