The first few days of BBNaija Lockdown Reunion were characterized with revelations of love triangles, complicated romantic entanglements and daring romantic moves. The eighth day was more mellowed and largely filled with accusation of backstabbing, misguided hate and boasting about social media exploits. Ebuka, who noticed Erica’s refusal to allow Wathoni sit beside her during Monday show, wanted the duo to shed more light on what caused the tension between them.
Wathoni who seemed lost as to why Erica picked on her after making up before they left the house couldn’t hide her shock. She concluded her recent resentment for her must be borne out of the fact that she kissed her man, Kiddwaya during a truth or dare game while they were in the house but reckoned it was just a game. She found it amazing that she looked away when her fans cursed her on social media.
Having interrupted Wathoni intermittently, Erica finally gave her side of the story. She dismissed her innuendoes and said her problem with her has nothing to do with Kiddwaya but her attitude. She accused her of granting an interview after leaving the house, falsely insinuating she had sex with Kiddwaya rather than focus on herself and use the platform to showcase her talent. Wathoni admitted saying they got naughty under the duvet but denied mentioning what they did. Both ladies eventually shelved their swords and hugged each other.
Ebuka, the anchor of the show, also saw there was no love lost between Erica and Vee and wanted to know if it emanated from the rift between Erica and Laycon. Erica responded saying Vee said a lot of negative things about her both within and outside the house. She made it clear she is an only child who does not crave friendship and doesn’t consider her as a friend. Vee who replied boasting about her English speaking prowess apparently to spite Erica, said she does not care about Erica either and was only looking out for her friend, Laycon.
In what truly looked like friendship gone sour, Erica had nothing complimentary to say about Laycon, she described the BBNaija Lockdown Winner as a pretender who portrays others in bad light to gain sympathy. She regretted ever describing him as a true fried and called him a snake. When asked by the host why he didn’t reach out to Erica after the show, Laycon said he does not want to escalate an already problematic relationship as he could be further misconstrued. Kiddwaya felt their relationship should stay the way it is for now and that both parties will eventually find a common ground in future.
The reunion ended with some of the former housemates sharing their social media experiences. Ka3na apologized for leading a fan who agreed to tattoo her name on her body on, only to decline the offer. Vee felt social media is a means of boosting her business for now and might drop it overtime. TolaniBaj admitted she is very active on social media and got a mentor who advised her on the usage. Erica accused some followers of masquerading as her real fan just to portray her fan base as toxic, she has since learnt how to identify and delete them.
A fan asked Brighto what he meant by asking people to apply pressure to which he replied if they want something, they should go for it. Ebuka capped the show with an appeal to fans to see the show as a medium which allows divergent views, he urged them to disagree respectfully. He cautioned those cursing and issuing threats on social media to stop as it might portray them as being toxic. Reunion continues tomorrow
