The Green Party of Nigeria (GPN) governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Alhaji Adamu Jumba, has expressed concern over the decay in the education sector in the state.
Jumba made the lamentation after visiting the local government areas of the state on Wednesday.
He said that the education sector was neglected by the present administration through non-provision of infrastructure.
According to him, “If elected Bauchi State governor in the forthcoming March 2, 2019 gubernatorial election, I will make a difference by being fair and just to all and address the decay in the education sector.
“I recall that it was government who sponsored my education up to my first and second degree. Today Bauchi State government paid N30 million monthly to one person for the supply and protection of Governor Abubakar posters instead of paying students scholarships.”
He accused the government of neglecting basic needs of its people especially education, healthcare, construction of road networks, and agriculture. He advised the electorate in Bauchi State to shun money politics, look at their future and that of their children and grandchildren and elect a credible leader that has a fear of Allah.
