The Bauchi State Police command has arrested 11 suspects for impersonation and certificate forgery in the ongoing Police recruitment in Bauchi State.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relation Officer of the state command, DSP Haruna Mohammed, while speaking to journalists in Bauchi.
According to Haruna, the seven suspects arrested have been charged to Court for engaging in such unlawful act.
He stated that one Abdullahi Suleiman (male) and 23 years of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State who was a dismissed Police constable and ex-convict in 2010, re-applied for constable cadre with different credentials bearing Kabiru Ibrahim Dikal. He was also arrested.
He added that the case was under investigation after which the suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.
On the recruitment exercise, Haruna said that the screening of the shortlisted applicants into the Nigeria Police Force in Bauchi State
includes Cadet Asps, Inspectors and Constables.
“So far, out of 7,772 shortlisted applicants, over 3,943 were screened at
the State Command level comprising of 189 Cadet ASPS,1,656 Cadet
Inspectors and 2,098 constables, respectively,” he said.
