Lazio manager, Marco Baroni, on Thursday praised his midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru after his goal contribution helped Lazio to defeat FC Twente in an UEFA Europa League (UEL) away game played at De Grolsch Veste Stadium.

During the encounter, the Nigerian international registered an assist as Lazio beat the Dutch club 2-0.

He set up Gustav Isaksen for Lazio’s second goal of the match three minutes from time.

The feat was the Super Eagles’ midfielder’s second goal contribution in the Europa League this season.

Prior to the assist, he scored on his maiden appearance against Dynamo Kiev last month.

Describing the player’s performance while speaking with TMW after the match, Baroni said, “Dele-Bashiru is a very physical player but also has quality, he’s very good at running forward.”

He added, “It’ll be a difficult test and it’s right to see how he behaves because he’s improving; I think he’s a player with a very important prospect.”
