England and Liverpool legend, John Barnes, has expressed doubt in the ability of North London club, Arsenal to win the Premier League (PL) title ahead of champions, Manchester City this season.
Barnes gave the verdict while speaking to BonusCodeBets, saying he sees the Citizens leapfrogging the Gunners to claim the title again this season.
Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit top of the league table, leading Manchester City with five points.
They go into the game against Brighton on Saturday on the back of 13 wins out of their opening 15 matches and have taken 40 points from the matches.

Barnes, while assessing the chances of Arsenal winning the PL this season said there is a likelihood he could change his mind about the possibility of Arsenal clinching the title.
He went on to assert that for now, he does not think the Gunners can lift the trophy come May 2023.
He said, “Yeah I would still say [Manchester City] are favourites because of their experience.
“Arsenal are still a young side…I may be wrong but with their youth, I don’t expect them to still not lose matches.
“If they’re still five-six points ahead [as it gets closer], maybe I’ll change my mind
“Come February-March…I don’t think they can but I won’t be surprised if they do,” he said.
