Bandits kidnap Niger State permanent secretary, granddaughter

Bandits are having a field day in Niger State, killing, maiming and kidnapping helpless citizens at will. 

This week alone, not less than 50 people have been murdered by the terrorists, with several others kidnapped. 

The bandits yesterday struck the home of  the Permanent Secretary, Niger State Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Ibrahim Garba Musa, and kidnapped him  along with his granddaughter.

Musa was abducted in his house in Zungeru where he went for a wedding ceremony but was picked up by the gunmen in the night after the party.

One of the family members narrated that the gunmen entered into the house by breaking down the gate to abduct the Permanent Secretary who was relaxing after the celebration.

He added that the family members had reached out to the state government to inform them about the incident.

Sahara Reporters said when it contacted the Secretary to the Niger state government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, he said he has just been informed about the incident but was yet to confirm it.
