Ayra Starr hit the limelight in 2021 with the release of her debut eponymous extended play and its hit track ‘Away’

Beninese-born Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has revealed that she once sold vegetables and fruits with her grandmother before she became a music star.
The 21-year-old ace singer made this known on her Instagram page recently, where she also revealed that she used to sing for customers who patronise the business.
The ‘Rush’ crooner also expressed her appreciation to God for how far she has excelled in her career.

Speaking via her social media page, Ayra Starr wrote: “[I] Will forever be grateful for where I am in life. God really blessed me.
“6 years ago, this used to be me selling vegetables and fruits with my grandma, singing for whoever wanted to hear me. Now people are paying to watch me perform.”
