Prior to this, Rema had opened up on the nature of his relationship with Ayra Starr in December 2022.

“Ayra is a vibe. There are a lot of times… It got to a point where I just could not go out to parties without Ayra. She is a vibe and she has ginger,” Rema had said.
Ayra Starr has continued to enjoy success since she was signed to Mavin Records, the musicowned by Don Jazzy.
In July 2021, she dropped the hit song ‘Bloody Samaritan’, a track off her debut album ‘19 & Dangerous’.
