At last, the presidential panel probing Ibrahim Magu, suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has submitted its report to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Snippets of the report earlier reported by TheNiche showed that the panel recommended for Magu’s sack and prosecution over sundry corruption and abuse of office allegations.
Magu is also accused of violating the code of conduct law by allegedly failing to declare his assets when he assumed office in 2015.
The panel also recommended the appointment of a new chairman for the anti-graft agency “without further delay.”
On November 20, at the State House, Abuja, President Buhari
received the full report of the panel from Ayo Salami after five months of sitting.
