Tokunbo Awolowo-Dosunmu, former  Nigerian Ambassador to the Netherlands and daughter of the late nationalist, Obafemi Awolowo has alleged that there is a gang up to get rid of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, if he emerges the winner of 2023 presidential election.

She made the assertion while speaking with journalists recently in Lagos.

According to her, there is an active plan to dump Tinubu and install his running mate, Kashim Shettima as president, claiming this may be perfected immediately after the 2023 swearing-in.

Awolowo-Dosunmu, who is a medical doctor, further said those behind the plot will likely capitalise on Tinubu’s health situation.

Tokunbo said, “They are plotting against Tinubu; Yorubas should wake up. They are aware of Tinubu’s medical condition.

“All they are planning is, immediately after handing over and swearing-in, they are going to get rid of Tinubu and Sheetima will be your next president if you are not careful.

She went on to appeal to Yorubas to put aside tribal sentiments when deciding on who to give for among the three major candidates going to become the president in 2023.

“Yorubas have to wake up and not allow emotions to lead us,” she added.
