Marseille striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken to social media to aim a dig at his former club, Chelsea, after his former colleague, Hakim Ziyech completed a loan move to Turkish club, Galatasaray.

The Morocco international who moved from Ajax to Chelsea in 2020, endured a miserable final season at Stamford Bridge, starting just six English Premier League matches last season.

Ziyech eventually came close to signing for French giant, Paris Saint-Germain during January transfer but an administration error by Chelsea in the final few hours led to the collapse of the deal.

After the disappointment, the 30-year-old  suffered further transfer heartbreak this summer when his proposed transfer to the Saudi Pro League club, Al-Nassr collapsed after a knee issue was spotted during his medical.

However, Ziyech finally secured his Chelsea exit this weekend as he finalised his loan move to Galatasaray for a £3million fee.

He was unveiled in the stands at RAMS Park after Galatasaray beat Trabzonspor 2-0 and led a chant from supporters.

Taking to his Instagram page to congratulate Ziyech on his move to Turkey, Aubameyang suggested that Chelsea had become a prison for his former teammate.

He wrote: “All the best my bro. Free Hakim.”

Aubameyang departed Chelsea this summer to join Marseille on a free transfer after spending much of his one season at the West London club, where he scored just one league goal in 15 appearances on the bench.

He joined the French Ligue 1 side in July and has started the season with two goals in his four appearances for the French side.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have picked only one point from their first two league games this season, after a 1-1 draw against Liverpool, they went on to suffer a 1-3 defeat in the hands of London rivals, West Ham on Sunday.
