Chelsea striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has sent social media buzzing after he liked a post on Instagram confirming the news of the sack of Graham Potter as the Blues manager.

Potter was appointed by the west London outfit on September 8, 2022, on a five-year deal but left the club after winning just seven of his 22 Premier League (PL) games in charge.

His sack was confirmed by Chelsea on Sunday night through the club’s website.

“Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club,” a statement read.

“Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition. In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter-final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid.

“Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future.” the statement added.

During Potter’s short spell in charge of Chelsea, he froze out Aubameyang, who has not featured for Chelsea since February.

The Garbon international was last spotted out in Barcelona, joining the Catalan club’s celebrations after they defeated Real Madrid two weeks ago.

The 33-year-old only joined Chelsea from Barcelona last summer but looks set to leave the Premier League giants at the end of the season.

The former Arsenal captain seemed to enjoy Potter’s sacking, hitting ‘like’ on the Instagram post which confirmed his departure.

Potter’s sacking comes less than seven months in the role following a horrendous run of results, with the Blues currently sitting in 11th position in the Premier League table after their home loss to Aston Villa on Saturday.
