Atiku Abubakar has berated Bola Tinubu for threatening to chase Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel out of Lagos because he invited the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate to Akwa Ibom.
Tinubu, who spoke in pidgin English at his hustings in Uyo on Monday, described Emmanuel as a “boy” who brought Atiku to the state.
“Akwa Ibom, that boy wey bring Atiku here, wey de call himself Governor, tell him enough is enough! He lives in my backyard in Lagos. If no be say we be one I would have driven him home.
“You see that mansion he is living, I would just use lizards, pigeons and scorpions and put inside,” Tinubu said.
Emmanuel riposted that Tinubu, All Progressives Alliance (APC) has nothing to offer except blabs and insults, as he did to 7.9 million Akwa Ibom people at the Nest of Champions International Stadium in Uyo.
Atiku took it up through the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PPC), saying Tinubu is encouraging violence against Emmanuel, which shows how “autocratic” he would be if elected President
“Our Campaign condemns in very strong terms the resort to threat by … Tinubu, who is now trying to transfer his annoyance over his failed campaign, as well as the frustration of crushing rejection by Nigerians to the PDP Presidential Campaign.
“It is pathetic that Tinubu, finding it extremely difficult to handle his impending defeat, is now plagued by deep-seated pains, frustration and anger against successful Nigerians, which manifested in his attack on the person of Emmanuel, PDP Campaign spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan said in a statement.

Tinubu’s crude language
“It is crude, to say the least, for Tinubu to have threatened … Emmanuel with chasing him (Emmanuel), a democratically elected governor, out of Lagos State,” Ologbondiyan added, per The Guardian.
“Nigerians can now imagine how autocratic a Tinubu presidency, which God forbids, will turn out as vicious, disrespectful, harassing, intimidating and subduing.
“It is, however, instructive to note that Tinubu is intimidated by Emmanuel’s towering achievements, as well as his deft management of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, which have further fortified Akwa Ibom and other states of the federation as PDP strongholds, completely impenetrable to the APC at all levels ahead of the 2023 general elections.”
