The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has joined other Nigerians to celebrate Kelechi Madu, a Nigerian, who won election as a member of Parliament in Canada and also became Minister for Municipal Affairs.
In a Tweet, Atiku said, “seeing Nigerians prosper has always been the cornerstone of my vision, the Atiku Plan.”
I celebrate Mr. @KayceeMaduUCP, a Nigerian who was first elected as a Member of Parliament in Canada and has subsequently been appointed Minister for Municipal Affairs. Seeing Nigerians prosper has always been the cornerstone of my vision, the Atiku Plan,” Atiku said.
An aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, said Kaycee’s appointment is the first time a Nigerian was being appointed minister in a G-20 nation.
Omokri congratulated Madu and said he believes that God is creating an atmosphere for the Igbo, Madu’s ethnicity, to leave Nigeria to dominate the world.
He said he thought Buhari’s Adviser on Diaspora Affairs, Abike Dabiri would equally celebrate Madu’s success.
