Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential poll, Abubakar Atiku, has said the Labour Party (LP) flag bearer, Peter Obi has no chance of winning next year’s election.
The former Vice President warned Nigerians against expecting a miracle to happen because Peter Obi joined the Labour Party to contest in 2023.
Atiku made the assertion during an interview with Arise TV on Friday, July 22, stating that he does not see the Labour Party’s candidate as a threat to his ambition.

He went on to say the party lacks the needed structure to give the former Anambra State governor the ability to take a large portion of PDP’s votes as a lot of people are suggesting.
“What is the performance of the Labour Party? This is a party that does not have a governor; doesn’t have members of the national assembly; doesn’t have state assembly members.
“Politics in this country depends on the structures you have at these various levels – at the local government level; at the state level; and at the national level. So, it is very very difficult to expect a miracle to happen simply because Peter Obi is in the Labour Party,” he said
He further argued that despite boasting on social media they had a poor showing in the just concluded gubernatorial election in Osun State
“After all, they were saying through social media they have more than 1 million votes in Osun State. But how many people turned out to vote for the Labour Party,” Atiku added.
He also asserted that 90 per cent of the Northern population are not on the internet, while many are not social media savvy.
