Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has appointed the party’s former National Publicity Secretary, Kolawole Ologbondiyan, as his fourth campaign spokesperson.

The appointment is with immediate effect, Atiku’s media adviser, Paul Ibe, said in a statement on Thursday.

Ologbondiyan, a seasoned journalist, will join Charles Aniagwu, Daniel Bwala and Dino Melaye as campaign spokespersons for Atiku.

“Ologbondiyan was the former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP (Dec. 2017-Dec. 2021). He was the Director of Media and Publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Council (2019 Presidential Election) and is now a member of the National Executive Committee of the party,” the statement said.

He added that Ologbondiyan, the former spokesperson was Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to the former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark (2007-2015). He is a highly experienced journalist endowed with the requisite skills of communication.

“He rose through the ranks from being Proof Reader and Production Editor to becoming Assistant Politics Editor, Politics Editor, Group Politics Editor, Deputy Editor (Daily) and Digital Editor (Online) of the THISDAY Newspapers,” the statement added.
