The Anambra State town unions existing in Lagos State under the umbrella of a socio-economic and non-political Association of Anambra State Development Unions (AASDU) Lagos, on Sunday October 13 publicly unveiled its maiden edition of her calendar tagged ‘Proudly Anambra 2025 calendar’ and briefing on its MEGACITY Project, Awka.
In addition to the unveiling of the calendar, AASDU also unveiled its website www.aasdulagos.org.ng.
The occasion which was held at Sickle Cell Centre, Idiaraba Lagos attracted many personalities from Anambra State
The calendar was unveiled by the President of AASDU, Chief Sir Amechi Ebeledike, the representative of governor Charles Soludo in the person of Leo Egboka, Anambra State Liaison officer, the Secretary of AASDU Nnaemeka E. Emenari Esq. , 1st Vice President Ichie Jonathan Meziem Okoye, the Publicity Secretary Chidi B.Abajue with other executives of the Association.
It showcased the rich culture, economic and social space in Anambra State .
After the unveiling, the Publicity Secretary and chairman of the Calendar project committee Mr Chidi Abajue explained in details the features on every page of the calendar such as natural/tourism centres in Anambra, transport companies, pharmaceutical firms ,industries, religious centres and artifacts that abound in Anambra State.
Speaking with TheNiche on the essence of the event, the publicity secretary Chidi Abajue said that the event is an annual briefing but essentially, the occasion is for the unveiling of AASDU 2025 calendar tagged ‘Proudly Anambra ‘.
He said the calendar is to project the business in Anambra, culture of Anambra, all the Anambra towns in Lagos, Local Government Councils and towns that make up each local council.
“The calendar carries powerful brands, culture and tourist sites in Anambra. In it one finds the history, past governors of Anambra and the leadership of AASDU.”
The concept is to project the business and culture of Anambra. It is a novel concept from AASDU publicity desk headed by Chidi Abajue.
In his appraisal, Abajue described the event as very successful, adding that the people of Anambra in Lagos adjudged the calendar as well packaged and rich in information..
The event was also used to brief all town unions on the projects of AASDU including the Megacity project Awka tagged ‘Aku ruo ulo,
