Artistes Live Shows, a monthly gig initiated by filmmaker and showbiz promoter, Ahmed Musa, is set to unveil a new musical group, XSquad.
The group is scheduled for periodic gigs at Real Mummies Palace at Ojota-Ogudu area of Lagos State.
XSquad constituted by Hakeem Onajobi and James Umar, an Afropop group, is one of the latest discoveries on Artistes Live Shows, which has become a launching pad for budding talents in film acting, singing, comedy and choreography, ably supported by Pero-Productions Global Entertainment Network in collaboration with Real Mummies Palace headed by Adeyemi Tope.
On the expectations from the group, Musa said: “XSquad’s first single, ‘We Be The XSquad’, opened the way for its popularity. The group is fast becoming a household name in Nigeria and beyond. The second single, ‘Big Bumbum Fine Girl’, is a remix where it featured Terry G and is presently working on other singles, ‘Shayo’ and ‘Eko Lo Showole’. The group has been making waves in town though it has not formally launched the songs. “This portends a great future for the group and that is why we are solidly behind them. I have confidence in the group because of what I saw on ground of its performance and it has never changed till date,” Musa said.
According to him, one needs to experience the group to understand what he is saying.
“My track record in this business speaks for me and other budding artistes have the opportunity to get in touch with us. Once you are good, we will put you on the spotlight. This is a worthy project between Pero Productions and Real Mummies Palace to further take Nigeria’s entertainment scene to the desired destination.”
