Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has urged his two strikers, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah to rise above their goal drought challenge after the Gunners beat Nottingham Forest 5-0 on Sunday.

Arteta watched as Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest at Emirates Stadium, thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Reiss Nelson (2), Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard.

The win over Forest means Arsenal are now on top of the Premier League table with two points ahead of second position Manchester City.

When asked what he can actually do with Jesus or Nketiah to get them back scoring again, Arteta said the strikers need to rise above their challenge as professionals.

“Training is very restricted but sometimes it’s a lot of mental things you can work on and discuss,” Arteta said at his post-match press conference after the game.

“And experiences they have had – it is not the first time Eddie or Gabi have been five games without scoring a goal in their career, that happens to any striker that I have known of. And you have to deal with that, it’s part of their job.”
