Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has revealed that Gabriel Jesus will not be a part of the English Premier League (EPL) clash against Newcastle after suffering a minor injury setback.
Speaking ahead of the clash at his pre-match press conference, the Spanish tactician said Jesus did not take part in training with the rest of the squad ahead of the visit of Newcastle to the Emirates Stadium.
According to Arteta, the Brazil striker suffered a small setback during his recovery from a knee injury.

He said: “We could not resolve it as quickly as we wanted and he had a small reaction in training again.
“We didn’t want to take any more risks because he has been out for quite a while and he is a player that we need at his best.
“We decided to give him a few more days.”
He, however, added that Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey could make the bench for the crucial fixture.
Partey has not played since the 1-0 win over Manchester City in October due to a thigh problem.
