Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has disclosed that former Gunner’s boss, Arsene Wenger, made a stop over in the team’s dressing room at the Emirates Stadium recently and described the visit as a “weird” one.
Wenger watched as Arsenal came back from a goal down to beat fellow London club, West Ham 3-1 on Boxing Day.
It was the first time the 73-year-old was back at the club since he stepped down at the end of the 2017/2018 campaign after 22 years.

Arteta, speaking at the Oxford stadium, after his team beat the league one side 3-0 in the third round of the FA Cup on Monday night, revealed the legendary Arsenal manager visited their dressing room after the West Ham game.
He went on to admit it was weird seeing him around but added it was also a very emotional and beautiful day.
“You could feel that he was emotional, that he really enjoyed [it],” Arteta told ITV.
“And I think he felt the love from everybody at the football club, the appreciation of what he’s done. And it was weird to see him around the dressing room, but at the same time, it was a beautiful day for everybody.”
