Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has pointed out that the “unity and togetherness” in his team are responsible for their charge toward the Premier League title after almost two decades of not winning it.
Arteta made this known while speaking with Sky Sports, saying the level of competition in the team is benefiting them and aiding their title challenge.
The north London club, currently sit on top of the English Premier League table (EPL), eight points clear of their closest rivals and champions, Manchester City with 10 games to play.
Arsenal, who play relegation-threatened Leeds United on Saturday, have a golden opportunity to win the club’s first English title since Arsene Wenger’s ‘Invincibles’ in 2004.

After briefly surrendering the first position to Manchester City, courtesy of a 1-3 loss to the Citizens at the Emirates, Arsenal have reeled off six successive league victories to regain control of the title race.
It has been a remarkable season for Arsenal, after allowing north London rivals, Tottenham, to pip them to a top four finish last season.
Arsenal boss Arteta believes the secret to his team’s unexpected success is the strong bond among the squad.
Speaking on the strength of his team, he said: “We have the right level of competition and cooperation because they really want to help each other, but they have to challenge each other as well to benefit the team and lift the standards that we want.
“The secret is probably the unity and togetherness that they have between them.
“They love to spend time with each other, they love to play with each other, they love to play in front of our people and they really have that sense of belonging to the club. That’s very powerful, I think.”
