Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has suggested that Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus might have picked up injuries after his team’s 4-0 defeat of Bournemouth on Saturday at the Vitality Stadium.

He gave the worrying injury update after the encounter in which Saka was seen limping after a rough tackle during the match.

Prior to this development, the Three Lions striker limped off in last Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham and missed the midweek Carabao Cup 1-0 win over Brentford.

Saka, however, started the game against Bournemouth and opened the scoring for the North London club.

He was later replaced in the 76th minute by Fabio Vieira.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Arteta told the BBC: “Yes it was a pretty bad knock.

“I don’t know how he is feeling I haven’t had the chance to speak to him but hopefully we can get him back.”

Arteta added when speaking to Sky Sports: “I think Gabriel Jesus as well, he was limping when I saw him in the dressing room. So let’s see how we can recover players.”
