Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has attributed his team’s 2-1 loss to Premier League rivals, Liverpool in a pre-season friendly played on Wednesday night to not being clinical enough in front of goal.
The Reds took a two goal lead when Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho put them ahead in the 19th and 55th minutes respectively. However, the Gunners reduced the deficit after Kai Havertz pulled one back.
Arteta’s men had few more chances to level the game and probably win, but Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira and Eddie Nketiah were unable to convert their chances.

Speaking after the encounter, Arteta claimed his team’s misses in front of goal cost them the game.
He said, “When you’re in those spaces in the box [it is about] putting the ball in the net.”
The Spanish tactician added, “We created the situations. We had two or three more big situations as well. We have to improve.”
Arsenal after their first loss in pre-season friendly, will on Wednesday face Bayer Leverkusen at the Emirates Stadium.
