Arsenal will face Liverpool at Anfield, on Saturday, as the English Premier League (EPL) resumes after the international break.

The Gunners will be eager to continue their fine recent form but they come up against one of their toughest opponents yet in Jurgen Klopp’s reds.

Arsenal who were at the bottom of the league after the first three games are currently 5th on the log table, ahead of Spurs and Manchester United who were 1st and 3rd respectively at that time.

Arsenal stretched their unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions before the international break, with a 1-0 win over Watford the latest of the results.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be looking to improve their form after a draw against Brighton & Hove Albion and a loss away to West Ham left them two points ahead of the Gunners.

Arsenal hasn’t won at Anfield since the 2012/13 season, a game in which Mikel Arteta played in and they’ll undoubtedly find it hard to come away with a result.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was ruled out of Gabon’s clash against Egypt on Tuesday after he was stretchered off in Libya’s 1-0 win.

Thomas Partey also missed out on their last win and did not honor Ghana’s call-up because of the groin injury that stopped him from playing against Watford.

Artera during the Watford game said: “Lecall-up what happens with Thomas [Partey]. He wasn’t available to play today [Watford]. He’s got a muscle injury, and we don’t know how it’s going to evolve, so let’s take it day by day.”

The fitness of these two players and that of Kieran Tierney, who was on the bench against Watford will be assessed before the Liverpool game,  while Granit Xhaka is a long-time absentee.
