Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo dedicated his goal to his deceased son but it was not enough to save Man United from defeat as The Red Devils’ hope of qualifying for the Champions dims after losing 3-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The home side scored as early as the 3rd minute when Raphael Varane and Alex Telles missed a cross, allowing it to fall to Bukayo Saka. His curling shot was then tipped away by David de Gea, but only to Nuno Tavares to tap in his first Arsenal goal.

Arsenal then doubled their advantage in the 32nd minute after Bukayo Saka converted a penalty after an initial goal by Eddie Nketiah was ruled offside.

At 20 years old, Bukayo Saka is now the youngest player in Premier League history to score a penalty in consecutive appearances.

Man United could have levelled the game, but Bruno Fernandes lost the penalty that could have brought the game alive.

But Arsenal struck and killed the game off in the 70th minute when. Granit Xhaka gathered the ball 25 yards out, got it out of his feet, and then lashed it beyond David de Gea to restore The Gunners’ two-goal cushion.

With the win, Arsenal leapfrogged Tottenham Hotspurs and moved three points clear in the fourth position, while Man United are now six points adrift of the home side.
