Sunderland visit Arsenal in EFL quarter-finals, Brentford host Chelsea, Liverpool clash with Leicester and West Ham travel to Spurs

Premier League takes backstage, as four Carabao Cup quarter-finals games are played on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 21 and 22 respectively.
Arsenal host League one side, Sunderland on Tuesday, December 21, at the Emirates Stadium by 8.45 pm Nigerian time. Simon Hooper is expected to be in charge of the game.
Meanwhile, Pablo Mari and Albert Sambi Lokonga will not be part of the squad because they have both tested positive for Covid-19. The game also came too soon for Tomiyasu who is injured.
On December 22, the three other EFL quarter-finals fixtures will be played across England, subject to Covid-19 protocols.
Peter Bankes will officiate the encounter between Brentford and West London club, Chelsea at the Brentford Community Stadium by 8.45 pm on Wednesday.

On the same day and time, Liverpool will welcome Brendan Rodgers’ side Leicester City to the Anfield Stadium, Chris Kavanagh will be the center referee for the game.
Another ELF quarterfinal game will be played on Wednesday between Spurs and fellow London club West Ham United, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
West Ham will try to make up for their lackluster display in the 2-0 loss against another London club, Arsenal in their last Premier League game.
Sunderland is the only team of the eight who play in the lower division, the remaining 7 are all premier league sides, winners of the encounters will progress to the semifinals.
