Arsenal after beating Villa at Villa Park are now 5 points from Chelsea in 3rd, who they are yet to face in the second half of the season

Arsenal go four points ahead of Man United in 5th with a game in hand and strengthened their grip on fourth place in the Premier League after edging past Aston Villa at Villa Park.
The Gunners after losing their first Premier League game this year to Liverpool in the midweek responded by dominating Villa and securing a sixth win from seven games.
Bukayo Saka scored the visitors’ only goal in the 30th minute with a low drive from the edge of the area after Villa had failed to properly clear a cross into the box.

Villa improved after the break and went close when Ollie Watkins’ deflected shot clipped the outside of the post.
The host also went close when substitute Danny Ings sent a looping header on to the roof of the net, but Arsenal showed grit and reduced them to just one shot on target throughout the game.
Apart from getting a foothold on the last Champions League spot, The Gunners are now 5 points from Chelsea in 3rd, who they are yet to face in the second half of the season.
