Violence appears to have marred the ongoing gubernatorial and state assembly election in Kwara State.
Hoodlums suspected to be APC thugs have reportedly used violence to intimidate PDP agents to stop them from monitoring the voting process and in some polling units, PDP voters, with the backing of security personnel.
In PU033 and PU010 – Oju-Ekun Zarumu, Ilorin West Local Government, and PU009, Ogidi Ward, in Ilorin West LGA, the police reportedly unlooked, as thugs loyal to the APC chased out PDP agents from polling units while beating up agents who try to stand their grounds. Also, the Ajikobi Ward youth leader has been reportedly whisked away by the military on the order of the APC chieftain, Kale Shiru.
