The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed August 29 for its governorship primary elections for Kogi and Bayelsa state.
The party also fixed the price for its form at N22.5 million, higher than the People’s Democratic Party’s which is N20 million.
The information is contained in the party’s schedule of activities signed by the national organising secretary, Emma Ibediro.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed November 16 for the governorship election in Kogi and Bayelsa.
Already, 21 members of the APC in Kogi State have indicated interest to fly the ticket of the party.
But 20 of the aspirants rejected the indirect primary election adopted by the national leadership of the party.
They claimed that if the party insists on the indirect primary, those that would make the delegate list in the state are cronies of the state governor, Yahaya Bello.
They made their grievance known in a protest letter to the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
The letter was read by one of the aspirants, Muhammed Ali, at a news conference in Abuja on Monday July 8.
According to the schedule of activities, the completed forms are to be submitted at the APC national secretariat in Abuja before August 21.
The screening of the aspirants will be done on August 22.
