APC crisis: Oshiomhole meets Kalu, Uzodinma, others

Determined to stem the tide of crisis in the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party’s National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole yesterday held a closed door meeting with some of party’s bigwigs especially from the South-East. Among the persons met were a former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator representing Orlu Senatorial Zone, Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, embattled Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere and a Senator representing Ebonyi South, Senator Sunny Ogbuorji.

The Imo State Deputy Governor is facing impeachment crisis over his political differences with the state governor, Rochas Okorocha The court had invalidated the Imo State Executive loyal to the Deputy Governor and national leadership of the party conducted another Congresses, which had produced a new executive loyal to Governor Rochas Okorocha. Also, yesterday the APC national chairman met with Senator Abu Ibrahim, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and other party chieftains at his private office in Abuja.

Oshiomhole had last weekend met with the governors of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru, Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, Zamfara State, Abdullazizi Yari and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami. Also, the APC national chairman was alleged to have met with a former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso and the National Chairman of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC), Engr. Buba Galadima at the weekend.
