Spurs Italian manager, Antonio Conte has tipped Arsenal ahead of his team in the race to finish fourth in the English Premier League this season.

The Lilywhites defeated East London rivals, West Ham United 3-1 on Sunday to go within three points of Mikel Arteta’s men who are currently occupying the fourth position.

Arsenal are on 54 points with 13 goals difference while Tottenham Hotspurs are on 51 points and 11 goals difference, but have played a game more than the Gunners.

Spurs will play Arsenal later in the season in a rescheduled match, and the clash could decide who secures the final Champions League spot.

But the former Juventus boss thinks that their North London rivals,  Arsenal have a ‘good advantage’ over them.

Antonio Conte based his assertion on the fact that Arsenals’ gaffer, Arteta has been in the club for a longer period compared to him.

“The only way to put pressure on Arsenal is to get three points to win,” Conte said after Spurs beat West Ham.

He added, “For sure they [Arsenal] have a good advantage, also, especially because they’ve been working with the same coach for many years and they’ve had many transfer markets with the same coach.

“Maybe they are at this moment more ready than us.”
