#AnambraDecides2021: Voters trickle to voting units

Ozigbo, Uba, Soludo

Voters trickle to polling units, showing courage, to elect a governor. Some people have fled the state for fear of the unknown.

Voters are trickling to polling units to vote for the candidate of their choice in the Anambra election. So far, all appears quiet without any incident of violence.

Election materials have arrived the majority of polling units, with a handful of voters already casting their votes.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has, however, pointed out that in Ward 3, polling units 009 and 010, election materials are yet to arrive and voters have been waiting without any prospect that the personnel for the election could arrive soon.

Valentine Ozigbo is the candidate for the PDP. He believes his chances are good because voters in the state are traditionally PDP in orientation.

The chances of the PDP candidate was bolstered yesterday when the 37 All Progressives Congress ward officials in Aguata local government declared their support for him, increasing his likely voters.

Charles Soludo is the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the ruling party in the state. Soludo is hopeful because voters in the state have a strong bond for the party because it is aboriginal to the Igbo people.

Andy Uba is flying the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ruling party at the centre with a lot of money to push its way through. Uba is trusting that voters would choose him so that he could bring federal advantage to the state.
