Charms, guns, knives and machetes were freely used at the flag off of APC campaign rally in Lagos on Tuesday.
Videos coming from the campaign ground held at Sky Power Ground at Oba Akinjobi Road, Ikeja shows thugs brawling openly while the Lagos State governor was delivering his speech.
The video posted by Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation magazine, shows many hoodlums wielding sticks, knives, machetes and guns at the event.
In the video, no security operative was seen which resulted in a free for all.
According to reports, two people lost their lives while many were hospitalised, including the chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known MC Oluomo, who was reportedly stabbed.
The campaign flag-off caused serious traffic snarl in Lagos making many commuters stranded and others trekking to their various destinations.
There are fears a reprisal attack from MC Oluomo’s faction is most likely in the coming days.
