Amapakabo, Egbuchulam win LBA for March

Amapakabo

The League Bloggers Award (LBA) Manager of the Month for March goes to Imama Amapakabo in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and Player of the Month to Chisom Egbuchulam.
Both are of Enugu Rangers.
Amapakabo beat the trio of Mohammed Ganaru (Kano Pillars), Mitko Dobrev (Ifeanyi Ubah), and Abdul Maikaba (Wikki Tourists).
He guided Rangers to claim 11 points in March despite losing to Lobi Stars. The team secured home wins over Wikki Tourists, Akwa United, and Enyimba. It mixed it up with two away draws at Abia Warriors and Warri Wolves.
Maikaba came close to knocking off Amapakabo as his team also got 11 points, but fell short when both men came head-to-head on March 5 and Godwin Aguda’s goal settled matters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
In the player’s category, the race was trimmed down to three: Egbuchulam, Anthony Okpotu (Lobi Stars) and Ibrahim Mustapha (El-Kanemi) who appeared to be neck and neck in performance in March.
Egbuchulam scored four goals, had two assists, and also had a hand in the build-up to the 10 goals Rangers scored in March. He netted two goals at home.
On the road, he also netted two goals while Mustapha scored one with two assists and Okpotu scored one with three assists.
Frederick Obomate of Rivers United won the LBA Player of the Month for February while Kennedy Boboye of Abia Warriors won the Manager of the Month for February.
