Alusa, first male out of BBA with Kenya’s chance at $300,000

Kenya’s Alusa is the first male housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Hotshots and the seventh housemate to go. Evicted on Sunday, he leaves with Kenya’s chance at the $300, 000 prize money after his compatriot Sabina left last week.

When Tanzania’s Laveda was evicted earlier in the evening, she become the sixth consecutive woman to leave the house. Alusa, however broke that streak on Sunday at the eviction show that had Namibian Hip Hop star KK rock the Big Brother stage twice during the live show, performing both ‘Katutura Kid’ and ‘Heavy’.

IK, the show’s presenter, also revealed the winner of this week’s StarMeter challenge, which measures the popularity of the housemates, based on social media buzz. Tayo took his second consecutive win, with the buzz indicating that viewers thought he was the sexiest housemate. The question for the coming week is ‘Which Big Brother Hotshot is the most sneaky?’

Earlier, auditors SizweNtsalubaGobodo delivered the verified votes to IK, who told viewers that the tie-breaker rule would once more apply, as there was a tie in the country votes.

After sending the nominated housemates to safety, one by one, JJ and Laveda were left standing. IK revealed that the Tanzanian’s time in the Big Brother house was up and asked her to say her goodbyes.

The drama wasn’t over, though, as Big Brother told IK that another housemate needed to be evicted. Heading back into the house, IK asked the remaining six nominated housemates to stand. He didn’t leave them hanging on for long, telling Alusa to leave the house almost right away. Out on stage, the Kenyan was upbeat, but said he didn’t really know why he’d been evicted.
