Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has clarified that the Tax Reform Bill introduced by his principal, President Bola Tinubu is a visionary legislation designed to rescue the nation’s economy.

He made this known while featuring on TVC programme, Politics on Sunday, where he stressed that the reform was in the best interest of Nigeria and its citizens.

While urging Nigerians to support the passage of the bill in the National Assembly, Akume added that President Tinubu has not lost public goodwill despite the introduction of the reform and other strategic economic measures implemented over the past 17 months.

Speaking during the interview, the SGF said, “These bills are well-envisioned for Nigeria and Nigerians. Let us allow the legislative processes to take their course. These reforms will ultimately benefit everyone when fully implemented.”
