As the euphoria of the 30 years Anniversary of Akoko North West Local Government gathers momentum, the Chairman of the Council, Elder Ayo Akande, has stated that the Council’s creation changed its socio-economic and political trajectory.
Akande, who could not hide his joy towards the coming event, shared some major impactful reasons that defined the historic creation of LG. .
“It is historic and it rejuvenated our memories whenever these tales of that titanic battles fought by our Community Leaders and Political Pathfinders who are the aggressors that not only initiated but defiantly committed towards its actualization”
Akande in his philosophical mannerism, opined that a 30 year old child is already an adult and at every point of his or her life, certain remarkable milestones must be documented for posterity.
“Unlike other LG Council ours has been the bases of our rapid development, progress, harmony and united our Communities since that 30 years ago has changed our socio-economic and political trajectories”.
Akande noted that the LG Council Creation has brought uncountable landmarks development to the people at the grassroots communities including the hamlets, satellites and villages.
Akande added that within the comity of other LG around ANWLG there is none that can boast of having enjoyed political equity, harmony community development as pronounced across all the crannies and none is left behind.
“The LG Council creation does not only bring development but it helped exposed our people to see political inequities, injustices poverty and stagnation which created the bonding between our leaders who became highly politically sophisticated to eradicate all forms of political monstrosity from our communities”
He concluded by pleading with all the sons and daughters of the LG at home or in diasporas to rally round the Anniversary Committee headed by Comrade Anthony A. Adeyanju, the Vice Chairman with resources, donations and prayer for a successful outing.
