Akoko North-West Council of Obas endorses Alade for Senate

Traditional rulers from Akoko North-West local government area of Ondo State have endorsed Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade (Rtd) for Senate in the next general election in 2023.

Akoko North-West local government comprises about 26 towns and villages in the North Senatorial District of the state.

The Obas pledged their support in the 2023 Ondo North Senatorial election and prayed for his success.

The chairman of the traditional rulers council, the Akala of Ikaram land, Oba A.O Momodu, who spoke at a meeting on behalf of the monarchs at his palace in Ikaram Akoko declared their unalloyed support for him (Alade) to become the senator representing the interest of Ondo North Senatorial District.

“I have known Alade to be a very responsible man over time and consequent upon this fact, he is someone very reliable, who can be trusted. What he has done for our people in Akoko land is enough for him to earn our support. This is the type of good people we want”, Oba Momodu said.

Responding, Alade said his paramount objective “is to better the lives of our people in Ondo North Senatorial District.”

Alade said that he chose to serve his people as a senator because he could foresee that the opportunity will give him the chance to make developmental plans for the people of Ondo North Senatorial District.
