Akoko North-West council boss sets up think-tank to brainstorm on growth

 A 13-man Advisory Council has been set up by the Caretaker Chairman of Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo state, Elder Ayodele Samson Akande.

Inaugurating the Advisory Committee at Okeagbe Akoko yesterday, Elder Akande said that members of the committee headed by Rear Admiral Samuel Alade areto harnesses resources for the development of the council.

According to him, members of the committee who are sons and daughters of the council are to advise the Chairman on policy matters.

 “To assist the Chairman in charting development programmes  for the Local Government and to suggest ideas/solutions to challenges in all areas within the council,” he said.

He said the committee members would also extend their scope of assignment to the area of resolving and reconciling all warring members in the party in the council.

“I want to say it without mincing words that really Akete (the Ondo State governor) is work and we must support him to make our Local Government great. With your cooperation, we will re-launch, re-invent Akoko North West Local Government into the Next Level,”he noted

Akande said that he would continue to strive to make the people see governance and politics from fresh perspective that tribe or tongue may differ but in brotherhood we remain united.

He therefore called on sons and daughters of the Local Government to join hands with him in the Noble initiative which he named “Let’s Build Akoko North West Local Government together.”

In his address, the Chairman of the committee, Rear Admiral Samuel Alade noted that he was highly honoured to serve as its chairman.

He assured that he and his team will work for the progress of the council.

He said the committee will work with everybody in the council especially members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to move the Local Government forward.

“We need to Unite together in bringing about development to the council,” he added
