Remo Stars’ attacking midfielder, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro seem to be gradually coming alive in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season after four matchdays.

Akinsanmiro had his first feel of  NPFL action when he came in as a substitute on MatchDay 2 against Heartland and followed up with another substitute appearance on MatchDay 4 against Dakkada in Uyo.

The creative midfielder was brought in by Coach Gbenga Ogunbote to replace Tolulope Ojo in the 80th minute against Heartland FC while in Uyo, he replaced Samuel Anakwe with five minutes to end their duel against Dakkada FC.

Akinsanmiro is one of Remo Stars home grown players, coming through the youth cadre during which he participated in the maiden edition of The Creative Championship (TCC) tournament and also was part of the squad that helped the Sky Blue Stars stage a return to the NPFL from the Nigeria National League (NNL).

In a chat with Remo Stars Media team, Akinsanmiro spoke of his personal assessment and declared that he is quite elated to be playing in the nation’s top league; something he hardly thought he would be possible this early in his career.

“I am very happy to have been given this opportunity this early in my career because I never thought of this at the moment but I believe it boils down to my performances on the field of play.”

“I have been introduced into the game twice, and I am working really hard to ensure that I get a spot in the starting eleven soonest. I will ensure that I give my best whenever I am called upon to do so.”

“I know it won’t be an easy ride but I know it will happen someday and it would always have to be me and ten others every match day because I am hopeful”, the lad remarked, oozing confidence.
