Akeredolu shakes up cabinet, sends list of 14 new commissioners designated, seven special advisers, and son as DG to the assembly

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, in an attempt to shake up his cabinet, sent a list of 14 new commissioners designate and seven special advisers to the house of assembly.
This was contained in a press statement by the Information and Orientation Commissioner, Donald Ojogo, in Akure last night.
The List of the new appointees included Akeredolu’s son, Babajide Akeredolu, who he made the Director General (DG), Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU).

According to Ojogo, the names will be sent to the House of Assembly for screening and clearance soon, and they will be sworn in on a date yet to be announced.
“The names of the nominees, especially the position of commissioner, will be forwarded to the House of Assembly for screening, clearance, and confirmation.
“All nominated/appointed persons will be sworn in at a date to be announced later after the necessary legislative processes.
“Mr. Governor wishes all nominated persons the best of luck,” he said.
Akeredolu in the list sent to the House of Assembly, reflected the provision of the constitution, as the appointments took into cognizance the character of the state.
The commissioners nominated are Mrs Bamidele Ademola Olateju – Akoko South East, Otunba Adefarati Adegboyega – Akoko South West, Rt. Hon. Fatai Olotu- Akoko North East, Dr. Julianah Oshadahun – Akoko North West and Otunba Dele Ologun -Akure North
Others are Mr. Sunday Adekunle – Idanre, Engr. Razak Obe -Ifedore, Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka- Ilaje, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan – Irele, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju- Odigbo, Mr. Femi Agagu – Okitipupa, Akinlosotu- Ondo East, Lola Fagbemi- Ondo West and Chief Olayato Aribo- Ose
Those appointed Special Advisers are Chief (Dr) Victor Ategbole, Dr. (Mrs)Wunmi Ilawole, (Barr) Tobi Ogunleye, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, Mrs Olamide Falana, Dr . Francis Adedayo Faduyile and Mr Niyi Oseni.
