Peace may have been finally restored in Ondo as the chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Kayode Fayemi, clarified on Monday that the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, did not order herdsmen out of the state.

Fayemi, who made the clarification at a meeting with the leadership of Miyetti Allah on the alleged quit notice in Akure, said the governor was misrepresented.

“The order of the Ondo State Governor was misconstrued and misrepresented by a section of the media.

“He only ordered those occupying the Forest Reserves in Ondo State illegally to quit,” Kayode, who is also the governor of Ekiti State, said.
