Ajimobi mourns APC chieftain, Ikudaisi

Abiola Ajimobi

Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has commiserated with the family, friends and associates of one of the stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Raufu Adebayo Ikudaisi, on his death.

Ikudaisi, a veteran politician and committed leader of the APC in the state, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at the age of 101.

His remains will be committed to mother earth at his residence, Ile Tuntun, Oke Oluokun Area of Ibadan, by 10am tomorrow (Tuesday).

The governor, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Monday by his Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Mr. Yomi Layinka, described the deceased as a veteran political organizer.

The governor noted that the deceased team-playing skills were remarkable for his selflessness, stressing that Pa Ikudaisi was one of the staunchest supporters of the Ajimobi-led administration since its inception.

The governor said, “Baba was a grassroots mobilizer, and he remained a committed progressive and astute political player since the days of the late celebrated Ibadan politician, Alhaji Adegoke Adelabu, and through the times of former Governor Lam Adesina.

“Although his contributions to the political evolution of Ibadan land will be sorely missed, it is gratifying that his memory will linger in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of working with him.”
