Aisha in hiding over Aminu’s torture, her injury from kicking the kid worsens

Aisha Buhari has not denied reports she personally supervised the beating of Aminu Adamu Mohammed on 18 November by security agents and that she injured her ankle when she, 51, kicked the strong 23-year-old for criticising her on Twitter.

Neither has President Muhammadu Buhari publicly commented on the conduct of his wife whose alleged abuse of power has been roundly condemned North and South.

Media outlets are awash with the story Aisha was taken to Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja last week for treatment on her leg and hand which were fractured when she slipped.

She allegedly supervised the beating of both Aminu and her former Social Media Aid Zainab Kassim.

Her injury from the fracas (with the two younger people who did not fight back) is said to have gone worse – and she is in hiding, having deactivated her Twitter handle on Wednesday over public outrage against her abuse of power.

She has sued Aminu to court but the Judge on Tuesday advised the parties to go for an out of court settlement before he remanded the defendant and adjourned the case until 30 January 2023 for hearing on his bail application.

Aminu, a final year student at Federal University, Dutse (FUD), has an examination on 5 December. Aisha has ordered his detention since 18 November and he may not write the examination unless she climbs down from her arrogance.

Zahra and Hanan on the campaign trail

On Thursday, Aisha sent her two daughters Zahra and Hanan to represent her on the All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Campaign Team at the North West rally in Katsina, per reporting by The PUNCH.

She is the grand patron of the APC Women Campaign Team.

Her daughters joined Campaign Team Chairman Oluremi, wife of APC vice presidential candidate Bola Tinubu; Nana Shettima; Finance Minister Zainab Ahmed; and the wives of the Governors of Kebbi, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Zamfara, and Lagos.

The stump was held at People’s Square in Katsina, where Zahra and Hanan drew a loud ovation when they mounted the podium to address the crowd.

Oluremi charged women and youths who trooped out for the rally to vote for her husband, whom she said  would continue with the legacy of Buhari and steer Nigeria  into greatness.

“You are our partners in progress. We need to work together to ensure that the needs of Nigerians are prioritised if Tinubu and Shettima are elected,” she said.
