Football Pundit and former Aston Villa striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor, has urged Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount to get realistic with his wage demand if he wants to continue to stay at Stamford Bridge.
He made the comment while urging the Englishman to reassess his demands and carry out a reality check, saying he is not as good as he thinks.
Mount has struggled to find his old form for the Blues this season, scoring just three goals and contributing six assists in 31 games across competitions.

He currently earns about £80,000 in a deal that expires in the summer of 2024 and is now in talks with the club hierarchy for a new deal, but he is asking for around £300,000 weekly to extend his stay with the west London club.
Reacting to the news of the wage demand of the young Three Lions midfielder, Agbonlahor, said he is surprised that the player is asking for such an amount knowing that his form has dipped this season.
The ex-Villa forward went on to say the 24-year-old should wake up to reality and tell himself the truth.
“This season Mason Mount has not done anywhere near enough to demand that kind of money. He should be having a wage decrease rather than an increase,” he told Football Insider.
“He has not done enough for me. Mason Mount isn’t in Chelsea’s best XI. I feel he needs a reality check, to be honest.
“He’s not as good as he thinks. So he can’t be making silly demands. I’d let him go on a free when his contract expires.”
