A member of the Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF), Suleiman Damisa in a telephone interview with our correspondent said Etim was in her best form to make Nigeria proud at the Games.
“We are proud of her because she actually prepared very hard for the Games and we are proud that she has made the NJF and Nigeria in general proud at the Games,” said Damisa.
Team Nigeria has thus won nine gold and two bronze medals at the games. Team Nigeria benefitted from international rules, which tripled the two gold medals won in the weightlifting event on Sunday and make it six and added with three others won in Judo, Badminton and Table Tennis.
The young athletes have been fired up by the presence of Sports Minister, Dr. Tammy Danagogo and the National Sports Commission (NSC), Director General, Gbenga Elegbeleye, who have been encouraging the athletes to put up their best in their respective sports in the ongoing games.
The games which commenced last Thursday would be rounded off on Saturday.
