AFN President, Okowa flags off Ndjamena 21km Marathon in Chad

AthIetics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) President Chief Tonobok Okowa has flagged off Ndjamena half Marathon in Chad.
Chief Okowa represented the Africa AthIetics Confederation (AAC) President Malboun Kalkabar at the ceremony between Chad and Cameroon border.

The 14th edition of the event was too organised by Chadian and Cameroonian Federations attracted runners across the sub-region of Africa.
The runners started from Ndjamena and arrive at kousseri, the boarder town of Cameroon and Chad.

According to Chieft Okowa, the routes were well marked, all road race rules strictly followed and winners were handsomely rewarded with trophies, medals and cash prices.

Expectedly, some of the experience garnered at the event would be useful in Nigeria during such occasions, said Okowa who relished and thrilled by huge crowd support for the runners.

No doubt, feeling glad at the event in Ndjamena means that the event was well organized and supporters were well sencitised, A positive development, the AFN boss. would bring home.
