Adesua Etomi, Nollywood actress and wife of popular singer, Olubankole Wellington, better known as Banky W has offered her husband words of encouragement after he lamented losing the February 25th election to Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party.

The not so popular Attah was declared the winner of the Eti-Osa Federal House Constituency election by INEC after polling 24,075 votes to defeat his closest rivals, Banky W of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 18,666 votes and Babjide Obanikoro of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who got 16, 901 votes.

The singer who had not spoken since losing the election, finally broke his silence while delivering a sermon in his church.

In a now-viral video, the musician turned politician, who is the assistant pastor of The Water Brook Church was seen speaking on the topic “faith after a fall” as church members listened with wrap attention.

According to him, the church service which was held on Sunday, March 5, was meant to be a thanksgiving service but didn’t work out that way despite already having plans for Abuja.

He, however, added that he was able to deal with the hurt and disappointment that came with loss because of his faith in God.

Banky W while sharing the video wrote, “For anyone who’s ever suffered through a loss, a disappointment or a situation where things just didn’t work out the way you hoped… “Faith after a Fall” is for you. For me. For all of us. Please watch this and share if you feel compelled.“

Reacting to her husband’s post via his comment section, Adesua Etomi wrote: “God really did a glorious thing when he created you. Our mandate remains. Love God, Love people. Serve God, be of service to his people. We move. BOLDLY. Love you long time. ❤️❤️❤️.”

Other celebrities such as Waje, Toke Makinwa and Peter Okoye also took turns in his comment section to encourage him.
